SEIS Investments | Attractive Tax Reliefs | Register |

SEIS INVESTMENTS ARE COMPLEX PRODUCTS WHICH SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AS BEING HIGHER-RISK INVESTMENTS, AND ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR ALL INVESTORS. THEY MAY BE APPROPRIATE AS PART OF A DIVERSIFIED PORTFOLIO, GIVING ACCESS TO AN ALTERNATIVE ASSET CLASS, BUT MANY INVOLVE LONG TERM INVESTMENTS AND THEREFORE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED ILLIQUID AND UNSUITABLE FOR UNPLANNED OR EARLY CAPITAL WITHDRAWALS.

We believe that building a diversified portfolio based on winners of our competition series can ‘stack the odds of seed investment’.

Each month a business will rise to the top of one of the Start-Up Series competitions and qualify, subject to contracts and terms, to receive up to £150,000 of seed capital, the help and advice of an experienced Investor Director and the kudos and publicity of winning this high profile competition series.

Sophisticated distillation and comprehensive due diligence will result, following investment approval, in seed investment up to £150,000 per business at a valuation set to reflect the relative maturity of the business and the requirement for funds.

The Start-Up Series will be aimed at consumer start-ups: Creating new products & services to buy and the ways that we buy them. The focus is on real products and services, in the consumer space where strong brands can be grown. ‘Tech’ is not being targeted specifically, although technology based disruptions to the target sectors will be expected and encouraged.

The target £2.1 million Start-Up Series SEIS Fund One will enable investors to hold equity in a portfolio of winners of the Start-Up Series, along with possible additional discretionary investments in other SEIS-eligible companies.

The fund will be managed by Amersham Investment Management Ltd, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, FRN 507460. All the investments will be SEIS compliant.
