We had a great day yesterday hanging out at the annual VCT & EIS Investor Forum – the UK’s number 1 event for investors and advisors considering the tax-efficient products.
As proud sponsors of the show, we were delighted to meet so many new faces as well as old friends who have been supporters of the schemes for many years.
Shortly after a great keynote talk from serial entrepreneur & avid angel investor Nick Jenkins, our co-founder Matthew Cushen took to the stage with our friends over at Beahurst, Symvan Capital, Deepbridge Capital and Syndicate Room, where the panel discussed the ‘hot deal opportunities on the horizon for 2020’.
Matthew later hosted an insightful session in the ‘advisor school room’, sharing his experience as an angel investor alongside friend and co-founder Paul Soanes, which lead to the birth of Worth Capital and the subsequent launch of our Start-Up Series SEIS & EIS Fund.
The highlight of our day was hearing from guest speaker former MP & Independent candidate for Mayor of London, Rory Stewart.
We’d like to thank Modwenna and her team for hosting a such a successful event – we’re already looking forward to next year!
